Specifies the format type of an ISO 8211 subfield.

Fields

BitString = 5

Bit string data. Corresponds to format code B(n) where n is the width in bits. The Width is stored in bytes (n / 8).

CharacterData = 0

Character (alphanumeric) data. Corresponds to format code A.

FloatingPoint = 6

Floating-point binary (IEEE 754) data. Corresponds to format codes b4x and b5x where x is the byte width (4 for single precision, 8 for double precision). Used, for example, by the S-100 DSSI origin-shift subfields (b48).

Integer = 1

Integer data encoded as ASCII digits. Corresponds to format code I.

Real = 2

Real (floating-point) data encoded as ASCII. Corresponds to format code R.

SignedInteger = 4

Signed binary integer data. Corresponds to format code b2x where x is the byte width.

UnsignedInteger = 3

Unsigned binary integer data. Corresponds to format code b1x where x is the byte width.
