Class HdfDeclaredSpec

Namespace
EncDotNet.S100.Core
Assembly
EncDotNet.S100.Core.dll

Resolves the declared product specification of an HDF5 dataset (the root productSpecification attribute, S-100 Part 10c ยง10.2.1) into a strongly-typed SpecRef.

Remarks

Real-world values take the long-form "INT.IHO.S-NNN.x.y.z" shape (including pre-release drafts such as "INT.IHO.S-104.0.8"), which TryParse(string?, out SpecRef) understands. When the attribute is absent or carries only a product code without a parseable edition, the caller-supplied fallback product name is used with a default (unknown) edition so the dataset's product is still identified.

Methods

Resolve(string?, string)

Resolves productSpecification to a SpecRef, falling back to fallbackName (with a default edition) when the string is missing or only partly parseable.

public static SpecRef Resolve(string? productSpecification, string fallbackName)

Parameters

productSpecification string

The raw root productSpecification attribute value, or null.

fallbackName string

The product the reader knows it is processing (e.g. "S-104"), used when the declared string cannot be fully parsed.

Returns

SpecRef
