Namespace EncDotNet.S100.Datasets.Grib
Classes
- GribCentres
Short names for the originating centres (WMO common code table C-11) of the sources the weather readers target, for display and for Centre.
- GribDataRepresentation
The data representation section (Section 5) of a GRIB2 field: how its values are packed.
- GribField
One field of a GRIB2 file, as indexed when the file opens: the parameter, level, times, grid and packing of one data section, and where it is in the file. The values are decoded only when ReadValues(GribField, CancellationToken) is called.
- GribFile
A GRIB2 file opened for reading: its fields, indexed when it opens, and their values, decoded on demand.
- GribFormatException
Thrown when a file isn't valid GRIB2: a message is truncated, a section length doesn't fit, or a required section is missing. The message names what's wrong and, where it helps, the byte offset.
- GribGrid
The grid definition section (Section 3) of a GRIB2 field.
- GribIdentification
The identification section (Section 1) of a GRIB2 message: who made it, with which tables, and its reference time.
- GribIgnoredField
A field of a GRIB2 file that GribWeatherDataset left out of its WeatherGridSet, with why: an unsupported template (for example CCSDS), a different grid, an older model run, or a repeat of another field's parameter, level and valid time. Hosts list these in
infooutput.
- GribLatLonGrid
A regular latitude/longitude grid (grid definition template 3.0), as the file states it.
- GribProduct
The product definition section (Section 4) of a GRIB2 field: the parameter, its level and its times.
- GribRunFolder
A folder holding one model run as several GRIB2 files (#1075; design note weather-sources.md §3.4): NOMADS and AWS publish one file per forecast hour (
gfswave.t00z.global.0p25.f000.grib2,…f003…), and a folder of them is read as one dataset, the files appended in name order. GribWeatherDataset then merges the fields by parameter, orders each parameter's steps by valid time, and keeps the latest run when the folder mixes runs (listing the older runs' fields).
- GribStatisticalProcess
One time range specification of a product definition template 4.8 field (statistically processed over a time interval): for example the maximum over 3 hours.
- GribWeatherDataset
A GRIB2 file read into a WeatherGridSet: its fields grouped into parameters by code and level, their steps in valid-time order, and where the data comes from. Steps are decoded from the file only when they're needed, so the dataset keeps the GribFile open until it's disposed.
- UnsupportedGribException
Thrown when a GRIB file is valid but uses an edition or template this decoder doesn't support, for example GRIB edition 1, a Lambert conformal grid (template 3.30), CCSDS packing (template 5.42), or a JPEG 2000 feature GRIB2 doesn't use, such as several components. The message names the edition, template or feature.
Structs
- GribFixedSurface
A fixed surface of a GRIB2 product (code table 4.5), for example the ground (type 1), mean sea level (type 101) or 10 m above ground (type 103, value 10).
- GribTimeRange
A GRIB2 time range: a count of a unit from code table 4.4, for example a forecast time of 3 hours.
Enums
- GribMissingValueManagement
How complex packing (templates 5.2 and 5.3) marks missing values inside the packed data (code table 5.5), as opposed to the bitmap.
- GribScanningMode
The scanning mode flags of a GRIB2 grid (flag table 3.4): the order the grid points are stored in. Bit 1 of the table is the most significant bit of the octet.
- GribTimeUnit
The unit of a GRIB2 time range (code table 4.4).
