Remarks

The S-101 Lua portrayal emits depth contour and sounding labels as sequences of PointInstruction entries referencing SAFCONxy symbols, where each symbol represents one positioned digit glyph in an SVG composition. This helper decodes the sequence back into a depth text string and emits a single TextInstruction in its place.

SAFCON encoding (from SAFCON01.lua):

Row 0: single/middle digit
Row 1: units of 2-digit
Row 2: tens of 2-digit
Row 3: first of 4-digit
Row 4: first of 5-digit
Row 5: fractional (depth 10–30)
Row 6: fractional (depth <10)
Row 7: last digit of 4/5-digit
Row 8: first of 3-digit
Row 9: third of 3-digit

Methods

Merge(IReadOnlyList<DrawingInstruction>)

Returns a new list in which runs of PointInstruction entries with SAFCON* symbol references that share a feature reference are replaced by a single TextInstruction. Other instructions are passed through unchanged.
