S-100 Edition 5.2.1 Part 15 §15-8.8 and §15-8.11. Each dataset, support file, and catalogue discovery metadata entry may carry a digital signature value that can be verified against the certificate identified by CertificateRef.

S-100 Edition 5.2.1 Part 15 §15-8.11.4 and §15-8.11.6. When the catalogue omits the dataStatus attribute, the reader infers Unencrypted for a resource declared neither protected nor compressed, and otherwise leaves this null so verification reports it.
