Geographic = 0

A geographic CRS: gridOriginLongitude / gridOriginLatitude and the spacings are decimal degrees.

Projected = 1

A projected CRS (e.g. WGS 84 / UTM): the same attributes are eastings and northings in metres, despite their latitude/longitude names.

Unknown = 2

A CRS this helper cannot classify; range checks are skipped.
