Class SeaTemperatureIsothermStyle

Namespace
EncDotNet.S100.Datasets.Weather
Assembly
EncDotNet.S100.Datasets.Weather.dll

The sea surface temperature (sea.temperature) as isotherms every IntervalCelsius °C, labelled in degrees Celsius (e.g. 18°). Off by default: the fill already shows the temperature, and the lines are for reading a front's exact position.

public sealed class SeaTemperatureIsothermStyle : WeatherCoverageStyle, ICoverageStyle
Inheritance

Implements
Inherited Members

Remarks

The isotherms are value-based ContourStyles (Contours) in the field's stored unit, kelvin, from LowestCelsius to HighestCelsius °C; only the levels a grid's values reach are traced, as for PressureIsobarStyle. They're drawn on S-98 OtherChartOverlays at priority IsolinePriority.

The lines aren't clipped to water: isolines have no clip, and SST grids mark land as missing, so no line is traced over it.

Constructors

SeaTemperatureIsothermStyle()

Creates the style, with the Day palette active.

public SeaTemperatureIsothermStyle()

Fields

HighestCelsius

The highest isotherm: 36 °C, over any open-ocean temperature.

public const int HighestCelsius = 36

Field Value

int

IntervalCelsius

The isotherm interval: 2 °C.

public const int IntervalCelsius = 2

Field Value

int

Key

The sub-layer key, "weather.sea.temperature.isotherms".

public const string Key = "weather.sea.temperature.isotherms"

Field Value

string

LineWidth

The line width, in device-independent pixels.

public const float LineWidth = 1

Field Value

float

LowestCelsius

The lowest isotherm: -2 °C, about the freezing point of sea water.

public const int LowestCelsius = -2

Field Value

Properties

Contours

One solid, labelled contour per LevelsKelvin level, in kelvin, in the active palette's IsothermInkToken.

Property Value

IReadOnlyList<ContourStyle>

LevelsKelvin

The isotherm levels in kelvin, lowest first.

Methods

FormatContourLabel(ContourStyle)

The label of an isotherm: its temperature in whole degrees Celsius, e.g. "18°".

public override string FormatContourLabel(ContourStyle contour)

Parameters

contour ContourStyle

An isotherm, valued in kelvin.

Returns

string
